As of just before 4:30 p.m., Route 9 is closed from the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery’s main entrance to the Phelps Memorial Hospital entrance. The closing is for an estimated four hours to enable tree crews and local DPW workers to inspect additional trees and to clear the current damage, Briarcliff Manor Village Manager Philip E. Zegarelli said.

At this point, best north-south route would be Route 9 to Route 117 to either Route 9A and/or Route 448 through Pocantico Hills to either Tarrytown or Sleepy Hollow, and vice versa, Zegarelli said.
